Usnea tincture is the strongest for antibiotic use against gram positive bacteria (both resistant and non resistant strains) as well as the parasite Trichomonas, with a high concentration or uric acid. Directions:
Do not use internally during pregnancy. If using externally, test sensitivity first. As with all herbal medicines, it is best to start with a low dose and monitor yourself to slowly work up to a therapeutic dose. This not only allows the body to adjust to the energy of the herb to allow it’s full value to be absorbed, but also allows you to feel if it is the correct herb for your body and condition you would like to address.

Acute Bacterial Infection: 1 dropperful 2-3 x day
Cuts and Skin Infections: Dilute 50/50 with clean pure water or apply full strength with a cotton swab after a sensitivity test to individual. 
Cold Sores / Impetigo: apply full strength 3+ times daily with cotton (test sensitivity first), can also be used as 50/50 with water as a wash
Cold and Flu: 1 dropper mixed with water every 4 hours. Combine with herbs like yarrow, Yerba mansa, goldenseal & osha for extra support
Herpes Simplex: 1 tsp tincture in warm water 30 min prior to each meal, 3x daily for 10 days
Fungal Infections and Skin Eruptions: combine 50/50 with water and apply to skin after testing sensitivity in small area

Vaginal Infections, Yeast Infections, Bacterial Vaginosis, Cystitis, and Chlamydia- Mix 1/2 ounce tincture with 1 pint pure water and douche upon rising and before bed
